City and iTel Networks partner to expand CRadvantage internet service for local businesses
The City is partnering with iTel Networks to expand Campbell River’s municipal internet service.
In addition to serving current and potential new customers on the open-access fibre optic network, iTel will provide Internet services to City facilities and subscribing businesses throughout the community.
CRadvantage streams ahead, more high speed internet available for local businesses downtown
The City of Campbell River has expanded Vancouver Island’s first open-access fibre optic municipal broadband network, CRadvantage. The network extension was completed along 11th Avenue to the corner of Dogwood Street and 12th Avenue on July 29.
Small Business, Seafood and Forestry now eligible for COVID Support Programs
Over the last week, a few new supports were announced for the Forestry sector and Seafood producers as well as applications opened up for rent assistance and benefits for workers. These programs target industry and businesses that contribute to Campbell River’s local economy and are summarized below.
Small Business BC Increases Support during COVID-19
Small Business BC is a not-for-profit resource hub for entrepreneurs. They provide downloadable resources, education, events and one on one 30 min sessions with business consultants – and all of this is free! Since the onset of COVID-19, additional resources have been brought on to help businesses looking for help and guidance.
