Join Jason Kuffler from the Vancouver Island Regional Library for a conversation about how your library card can unlock a wealth of online resources for new entrepreneurs and seasoned business owners alike.

Now that so many of us are having to spend much more time online trying to work remotely in these challenging times, CRAAG members Rick Segal and Dave Baar will be joined by computing security expert Philip Attfield, CEO of Sequitur Labs, to do an interactive presentation about key topics in online and device security.

As we've seen since the start of this pandemic information is in no short supply. We’ll cover the basic steps to getting a website built and online and we will survey the variety of e-commerce features available, including setting up an online shop, using scheduling features and forms to gather customer information and getting menus online for pickup service and delivery.

This session will be hands-on review of the Google Business Suite. To get the most from this session, you should join by computer on the zoom link below. This will be the first of a series we will run on specific platforms that people are using to run their businesses remotely.

We look forward to connecting with the Campbell River Area community to discuss what we can do to share relevant and timeline COVID-19 information to our community. We will solicit input from attendees on format and topics to be covered in future CR Area sessions.

In the second half of the session, we will talk about the benefits and challenges of working remotely and review several strategies and tools that can be used to mitigate those challenges.
